Hello. I’m Aaron.

About Me

My day job: I'm a Senior Product Manager at T1V and Onboard Pro

My evenings and weekends: I workout, run, develop cool apps, watch my beloved Buckeyes and Browns (#Woof), travel the world… oh and officiate an occasional wedding

My alma mater: I graduated from THE Ohio State University

My locations: Charlotte, NC

My email: I can be reached at aaron.v.palmer@gmail.com

My specialty: I design solutions, one product at a time. I’m a people-first, product-led product leader with 10+ years of experience leading and working with empowered teams across a variety of B2C, B2B, and Platform industries. I lead teams to create software products that people love to use, and that enable sustainable product-led businesses.

I thrive when working with teams to develop business and product strategies, and then coaching and empowering them to build products that are useful and valuable to the business. I believe in developing cultures and software development processes that help teams do the best work of their lives in environments that are healthy, and fulfilling.

How I work:

  • Product and Business leadership: Building and coaching empowered teams in safe, fulfilling environments. Developing systems and structures for teams to have the strategic context they need to own decision-making and move quickly to meet the needs of customers and the business.

  • Product management: Developing product vision and strategy, making sure teams work on the right problems for customers and the business, designing systems to ensure great execution and delivery.

  • Product discovery: Using design thinking to solve user and business problems and improve product/market fit.

  • Development process design: Understanding the needs of developers and the rest of the business, and collaborating with engineering leaders to design a development process that fits the culture of the organization and gets everyone involved in an appropriate way.

  • User experience research & design: I’ve done everything—and work to keep these skills up to date—including ethnography, heuristic evaluations, usability testing, participatory design, concept testing, and surveys. Content audits, style guides, and content creation. Flow diagrams, wireframes, interactive prototypes, and concept development.
